Russian airline Aeroflot extended the purchase order to VEB-Leasing for another 20 aircraft Sukhoi SuperJet 100. Following the extension the company order book extended to 50 airplanes. The agreement was reached in the development of the Memorandum of Intent, signed by Aeroflot and the Sukhoi Civil Aircraft Company in January 2015. The new deliveries will allow Aeroflot to increase the number of aircraft of this type to 50 in its fleet – the youngest among the Top 20 airlines in the world in terms of passenger traffic.
