North Korea: Air and Anti-Aircraft Force Performs Defensive Combat Exercise

The air force and antiaircraft of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea (DPRK) carried out defensive combat exercise, in the presence of Korean leader Kim Jong Un, media outlets today stand out.

The maneuvers that included piloting and real shooting of war in severe weather conditions, had as a scenario the area of ​​the Kalma airport, in Wonsan, northeast of here, published the Central News Agency of Korea (ACNC).

At the end of the military drill, the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces of the DPRK, Kim Jong Un, congratulated the participants.

Before them he reaffirmed that ‘victory or defeat in combat does not depend on the specifications of the weapons used, but on the idea and purpose of those who use the weapons and fight.’

According to North Korean Television (KCTV), Kim Jong Un also attended a mock landing of special units of the Korean People’s Army in an unspecified area.

These exercises are carried out in the context of military rallies in Washington and Seoul, whether or not they perform aggressive combined winter military exercises that undermine the security of the DPRK, political analysts recall.

The organ of the Korean Labor Party (PTC), Rondon Sinmun, said that last weekend, for the second time in less than a month, the president of the Korean State Committee, Kim Jong Un, toured the so-called Zone of Cultural Recreation of Yangdok Spa to be inaugurated soon.

There he visited the sanatorium, hotels, indoor and outdoor thermal baths, service establishments, the riding park and the ski field, among other objects of work.

Yangdok is a developing area located in the center of the DPRK, a short distance from here and when its construction ends at the end of this year, it will be a center of balneotherapy and cultural and sports rest of national and international character, multifunctional and versatile, which will favor the health and well-being of the Korean people, said Rondon Sinmun.
